In my last blog post I recalled the time I heard the word blog for the first time. The word and the concept were totally alien to me until that moment.
Some years back I was watching Sir Bob Geldof being interviewed on TV, (that right there is one articulate and interesting dude) and he used the word nanosecond.
Until that moment I don’t think I had ever heard the word nanosecond before.
What did he say???
Nanna second? Nano seeker? Nah, in a second? I headed straight for the dictionary.
When I heard the word “blog”, I had no point of reference. It was totally unfamiliar. Apparently it is derived from the term “web log” and to my shock has been around since 1997! (Can’t call me an early adopter).
In Isaiah 48:6-7 (NLV) God says:
“Now I will tell you new things, secrets you have not heard, They are brand new, not things from the past, so you cannot say “We knew that all the time”.
There is a time to hear something for the first time.
And just for the record, a nanosecond is “a billionth of a second”.

Hearing something for the first time is so exhilarating. At first, you wonder if you were the last to know… Then just grateful you weren’t left behind in any way.
That is profound Paul. Very true.
I’m learning something new all the time! Thanks Vick!
Thanks Meredith. I have encouraging comments from 2 authors today…you and Paul Gallagher…grazie.
